Living and working in Devon has many benefits and a key one of these is that the sun, believe it or not, does shine quite frequently (in between the rain).

With the sun rays shining, we commissioned an independent energy survey where it became clear that we could reduce our energy bill as well as do our part for the environment by harnessing the power of the sun through a roof-mounted solar PV system. So, that’s what we did!

Keen to support the local economy as well, we appointed Uffculme-based solar experts, SOL Electrical, who installed a 50kW PV solar panel system featuring 200 Solar World Polycrystalline panels with Solar Edge P600 Optimisers and SolarEdge SE17K inverters to maximise performance. We know you like the technical details.

The installation was completed successfully at the end of August with the minimal of interference to day-to-day operations and has the potential to provide most of the electricity that we require across the entire Van Guard site!
