Locking systems in the Vauxhall Vivaro are being exposed by thieves cutting holes into the side of the vehicle to gain access to the locking cables/rod. By cutting these the door is unlocked, and the contents of the van are exposed.  

Cutting the Loom

Another access point for thieves is the cutting of the loom. Once this has been cut on a Vauxhall Vivaro the van will think it has been in a crash and activate the failsafe, popping all the doors open.

When the ULTILock Hooklock isn’t practical, we recommend utilising a Deadlock. Deadlocks are a common and popular additional security upgrade and work in the same way as hooklocks, but instead of throwing a hook into a receiving bracket, they throw a straight bolt. Deadlocks are designed to be placed in the best possible location to help prevent an attack.

External Shielding

External shields are a very popular and effective additional security product, and we manufacture a wide range of shields in both stainless steel and black powder coated finishes. External shields can be used as a cost-effective repair method for vans that have already suffered an attack, but also act as a visual deterrent to stop the attack from happening in the first place.

Integrating with the OEM locking mechanism, when the van door shuts, the van is automatically locked without the need for any user interaction. The Slamlock deters opportunistic thieves and is ideal for multi-drop delivery drivers, and drivers who have high-value goods inside and locking is essential every time.

To help prevent the ‘peel and steal’ attack, we’ve also developed a range of Anti-Peel brackets in both high and low positions.

Slamhandle

Providing both locking and shielding to the often-weak factory fitted door handle.

ULTILock Slamhandle is a direct stainless-steel replacement for the plastic OEM handles and include a Slamlock mechanism. They provide increased security to the often-weak factory fitted door handles that can easily be broken into and bypassed by thieves.
