As of May 2023, there were about 129,700 tradespeople in England, 8,950 in Scotland, and 6,280 in Wales, yet they are often ignored, put down and underappreciated by society.

Tradespeople are often assumed to be people who left school at 16 and worked in their trade since, however in 2018 half of young tradesmen come from a university educated background and 80% have a-Levels or equivalent.

Van Guard Accessories wants to spread awareness for all the work tradespeople do for our society, therefore we have created a competition to shine a light on all tradies and hopefully help some out with protecting their vans and livelihoods.

To celebrate National Tradesperson Day, Van Guard Accessories want the opportunity to give back to all the hardworking tradespeople who are often overlooked.

Prizes:

  • There will be 5 runners up who will get a £200 Screwfix voucher each.
  • The winner will win the Ultimate Van Storage and Security Package.

Terms & Conditions:

  • The winner of the Ultimate Storage and Security Package must allow Van Guard accessories to film the fitting process of the products and provide van guard with 1 piece of content for them to share on socials (the person will not be required to be on camera, but this would be preferred).
  • On 20th September the winner will be chosen by a random draw using an online spin wheel.
  • They will receive a DM on 20th September in which they will be congratulated and asked for their email to discuss the prize. They will have 1 week from that day to respond before the prize is fore fitted.
  • Van Guard Accessories need to know the location of the winner to organise fitting and delivery of products.
  • Excludes Northen Ireland and Ireland.
  • Cost of travel to and from fitter will not be included.
  • Winner will have to drive their van to the fitter, transportation will not be provided by Van Guard.
  • Van will need to be empty for fitting.
  • Winner will be chosen at random.
  • You can only enter once.
  • You must follow the entry requirements to be put into the draw.
  • The 5 runners-up will be drawn first, then the winner.
  • Instagram will be checked daily for entries.
  • The competition will run from 30th August to 19th September.
