Van Slamlocks

After Deadlocks, Van Slamlocks are the next most common type of additional locks fitted to vans. We have a comprehensive range available for virtually all van makes and models available in the UK.

Slamlocks do exactly that. When the van door is shut, they lock automatically without the need for any user interaction. Due to this type of operation, its ideally suited for:

• multi-drop delivery drivers
• drivers of vans who have high-value goods within where locking is essential every time
• owner-drivers who forget to lock the van or want peace of mind knowing it has been locked every time

Van Slamlocks work by de-activating the van’s factory fitted door handle and installing an additional surface mounted lock to the van door. To open the van door, you have to turn the key which now acts in place of the door handle. On closing the door, locking takes place automatically so ensure that you do not leave your keys inside the van!

Slamlocks allow the opening of doors independently meaning if you want access to your van’s side door, for example, unlocking it with the key will not unlock the rear door allowing easy access for opportunist thieves.

Just with all of our locks, they come with the higher quality more secure dimple key as standard. This key is both stronger and more resistant to lock picking. Manufactured from solid nickel with a large gripped bow to make use easy and convenient.

The Slamlocks are van and door specific so all bracketry is bespoke to your van and if needed, additional replacement cables are supplied alongside all of the needed fittings.
